EM Labs Equipment works with a Keysight Network Analyzer
EM Labs equipment is designed to be used in connection with a network analyzer (VNA) and cannot perform measurements as a standalone system.
As shown in the system configuration above, the following components are required:
- VNA
- EM Labs equipment
- PC (with EM Labs software installed)
- Connection accessories
EM Labs is a proud authorized Keysight Solutions Partner, and our equipment is developed and manufactured to operate with Keysight VNAs.
Therefore, we only support configurations using Keysight VNAs and do not support operation with VNAs from other manufacturers.
Please note that not all Keysight VNAs are supported.
If a VNA is no longer supported by Keysight, EM Labs may also be unable to provide support.
If you plan to use your existing VNA with our equipment, please ensure in advance that your model is supported.

Q&A
Q: Can the system operate with VNAs other than those from Keysight?
A: No. Operation is not supported.
Q: Can Agilent VNAs be used?
A: Most likely not. They are not supported.
Q: Is there an easy way to determine whether a Keysight VNA is supported?
A: Please check whether your VNA is currently supported by Keysight.
VNAs that are discontinued or no longer supported by Keysight are also not supported by EM Labs.
Q: If connected to an unsupported VNA, can EM Labs equipment and software still be used?
A: The software cannot be used. While it may be possible to connect the equipment to a non-Keysight VNA, operation has not been verified and no support will be provided.
Additionally, since the software cannot be used, you will need to perform S-parameter acquisition and permittivity calculations on your own.

Requirements for Running EM Labs Software
EM Labs software is designed to run on a PC that meets the following requirements.
If you plan to use your existing PC, please ensure that it meets these requirements.
Failure to meet these requirements may prevent measurements from being performed.
