

Wide Frequency Range, Cost-Effective Solution
These sample holder fixtures provide a broadband solution for permittivity, permeability, transmission, reflection, and absorption measurements from 0.5 to 40 GHz. With a relatively modest investment, both permittivity and permeability can be measured over a wide frequency range, and even comparatively small samples can be evaluated.
Combined with Keysight Materials Measurement Suite N1500A, the fixtures support efficient and reliable material measurements for research, development, and quality control.

Coaxial Sample Holder
- Covers 0.5 to 18 GHz with a single fixture
- Powder measurements are also supported as an option
The coaxial sample holder requires careful handling of high-frequency cables and connectors. It is recommended for users who are familiar with high-frequency measurement setups. Calibration must be performed separately using a Keysight calibration kit.

Waveguide Sample Holder
- The holder and SHORT plate can be fixed with a single lever
- Enables efficient measurements with high repeatability
The waveguide sample holder includes SHORT and LINE standards for TRL calibration.
Measurement Technology
The coaxial and waveguide sample holders use the S-parameter method. By measuring transmission and reflection characteristics with a vector network analyzer, the material properties of the sample can be evaluated across a broad frequency range.

Sample Shape
Coaxial Sample Holder

Please prepare a donut-shaped sample that fits within the holder size. If the outer diameter of the sample exceeds 7.00 mm, it will not fit in the fixture. Likewise, if the inner diameter is less than 3.04 mm, it will not fit in the fixture.
Waveguide Sample Holder
Please prepare a rectangular sample that fits within the holder size: the holder inner dimensions and holder length.
