Measurement Results
- Five measurements were performed, with a full calibration before each measurement.

Key Point!
- EM labs' free-space system achieves repeatability better than 1%.
- Results remain stable even after the measurement environment is reset by repeating the full calibration.
Repeatability, the ability to obtain the same result under the same conditions, is essential in material characterization. High repeatability makes it possible to detect small differences between materials during R&D and apply the findings to subsequent prototypes. In production, stable sample monitoring also supports more precise quality control.
Free-space measurement systems were once considered to have limited repeatability, but EM labs has significantly improved their performance. Here, polypropylene and polycarbonate plates were measured repeatedly. A full calibration was performed before every measurement, reproducing conditions close to an actual measurement workflow.
